A ‘Breakfast Blitz’ Helps Kids and Fuel Up to Play 60 Kick-Off their Mornings with Milk!
Although there are a million and one ways of saying that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, many kids in this country still miss out on the chance to fuel up in the morning. Without the nutrition from a healthy breakfast, kids have told us they lack the energy and focus to get through the day and feel good. At GENYOUth we’re always looking for ways to drum up more attention around the startling facts associated with kids skipping breakfast and not getting enough physical activity every day. We’re psyched to announce a new program called Breakfast Blitz from America’s Milk Processors, who are donating $250K in grants to schools across the country in collaboration with our flagship program Fuel Up to Play 60.
New York Giants Wide Receiver, Victor Cruz is also helping to promote and drive up awareness for the program and the importance of breakfast by appearing in the ads sporting what else but a snazzy milk mustache!
Not only will more kids have the opportunity to eat breakfast in their schools through Breakfast Blitz, but they can also go online to milkmustache.com from now until February 17th to enter for a chance to win tickets to next year’s Super Bowl along with other prizes.
You can check out all of the great content on the Milk Mustache website or their Facebook page and Twitter handle @MilkMustache, and also visit GENYOUth’s site to give back to your local Fuel Up to Play 60 school!
